Worse, many small arrows now surfacing are either genuine and repainted or completely fake. This untouched small arrow came off a 505k serial PCG. In my humble opinion the oxidation to the metal gives it oodles of character.
The original lume that remains (it is partially missing) no longer glows after being exposed to bright light. The following measurements are best estimates based on using a ruler: length excluding the base (stem to tip of small arrow) is approximately 11 mm and the length including the base (base to tip of small arrow) is approximately 14 mm. This small GMT hand is original and period correct for the 6542 starting with its introduction in the mid 1950's to approximately the 1.6 million serial 1675, around 1966, early 1967. All pictures were taken in natural light as well as from various angles, so please study the 12 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this small arrow GMT hand. The item "Vintage Rolex GMT 6542/Early 1675 Original and Genuine Small Arrow GMT Hand" is in sale since Tuesday, November 22, 2016.
