The seconds hand will move in both directions sometimes. The crown completely disengages (see photos).
This is a great watch and rare model. At worst case scenario, a new movement and or crown repair will get this watch back up and running perfectly. You are looking at a.This watch is a survivor. Not many of these were made. I currently have quite a few for sale. It was simply time to clean out the closet. This watch is a men's size TAG with a case size of about 37mm (42mm including the crown).
The crystal is in near mint condition with little to no scratches. The back casing is the wrong one for this watch. This one is a TAG Heuer 980.004 back casing. It fits, but it is the wrong back casing. The back casing is in good condition with typical wear scratches.
The case is in good condition with light wear scratches. The bezel is in good condition with light wear scratches. The hands have darkened severely over the years. The hour markers are in very good condition.
I would rate this true survivor as a solid 6 out of 10 in condition. The bezel turns and clicks in the counter clockwise direction, as it should. This model has a quartz movement and it is 200 meters water resistant.
Please see my other TAGs for sale. The leather display is not included.
