Vintage Rolex GMT 6542/Early 1675 Original and Genuine Small Arrow GMT Hand
As shown in the pictures the original lume is partially missing. If you aren't a purist lume can be added and color matched to the patina on your hour/minute/seconds hands and dial by skilled watchmakers such as Bob and Phillip Ridley at Watchmakers International, Alex at ABC Watchwerks or Beau at Los Angeles Watchworks. This vintage Rolex GMT 6542 and early 1675 genuine and authentic small arrow GMT hand is in wonderful condition, free of any bending or defects. The original red paint is vibrant and covers beautifully the entire stem with the exception of some minor receding at the base. And in my humble opinion the oxidation to the metal gives this small arrow oodles of character.
The original remaining lume no longer glows after being exposed to bright light. The following measurements are best estimates based on using a ruler: length excluding the base (stem to tip of small arrow) is approximately 11 mm and the length including the base (base to tip of small arrow) is approximately 14 mm.
This small GMT hand is original and period correct for the 6542 starting with its introduction in the mid 1950's to approximately the 1.6 million serial 1675, around 1966, early 1967.
